Pretty much every day is a “national holiday” for something or other.  Many are serious while others are hilarious.  So, why not embrace the fun along with the solemn remembrance?   It’s important to pay homage and respect for the events of the past, but it’s equally important to enjoy today.  Make time to celebrate life with your friends, family and fur babies. 

Each year the style conscious look forward to the fashion industry’s edict on what will be “in” for the upcoming year.  What colors will be hot?  Will it be glamour or grunge?  Which fabrics will be in vogue?  The answers are in.  This season, retro styles, pastels, and natural fibers appear to be the big winners.  And as always, the cutest accessory of all is a coordinating fur baby.

When most of us think of Valentine’s Day, we think of romantic love.  However, the day can also be embraced to show appreciation and affection for others in our lives, including our furry loved ones. For decades, exchanging Valentine’s cards and pieces of candy with kids at school has been a “thing” to honor friendship.  As we get older, February 14th shifts to being a day to celebrate romance with a cute date, boyfriend or girlfriend, or a spouse.   Why not incorporate our beloved fur babies into our Valentine’s festivities?   It is both entertaining and adorable to parallel human Valentine traditions with our pets.

Many of the most perennially popular New Year’s resolutions involve the establishment of a  healthier lifestyle. One way to accomplish that is by slotting out a time every day to enjoy a walk with your dog.  Walking is an ideal exercise for both humans and their furry companions.
